Three Tips to Increase Your Profits with Amazon Business Prime

Uncategorized Jul 07, 2024

There's a good chance you're not using the right Amazon Prime account for your practice...

Most of us, when we start our businesses, use our personal Amazon Prime accounts to order everything from laptops to furniture to office supplies.

Why wouldn't you?

Amazon pricing is generally competitive with anything you'd find at a local store AND it shows up on your doorstep for free in 24-48 hours thanks to Prime.

BUT, your personal Amazon Prime account will not save you as much money as signing up for a Amazon Business Prime account

That's because the Business Prime account offers to three features that your personal Prime account doesn't, specifically:

- Quantity Discounts - With Amazon Business Prime, you get quantity discounts when you purchase 2 or more of nearly 60 million items. They've even got a whole special section designed to highlight sellers that reward you for buying more. This can easily add up to hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in increased profits, especially on items you replenish regularly like office supplies, snacks, toiletries, etc.

- Special Pricing - Amazon Business Prime members often receive special pricing that can only be seen when logged into your Business Prime account. This has ranged from a few dollars on some of my recent smaller purchases to over $100 on a piece of technology I recently purchased.

- American Express Business Credit Card - On top of the direct savings you can earn with your Amazon Business Prime account, you can earn rewards of 3-5% (or delay paying your bill for 60 days with no interest) by signing up for the Amazon Business Credit Card through American Express. When you order $10,000+ per month through Amazon like our practice does, this can amount to thousands of dollars in additional annual rewards over my other company credit cards. If you don't have the card and think it might be a good fit, they're currently offering a $100 account credit for signing up

In addition to all these benefits, the Amazon Business Prime account comes with features to help you delegate purchasing to other's in your company, as well as track and limit their spending.
