Dr. Wade Fuqua, PhD, LPC-S, LMFT-S is the Chief Clinical Officer for Chenal Family Therapy, PLC. A Little Rock, Arkansas native, Dr. Fuqua earned his Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He is a licensed professional counselor and marriage and family therapist, holding supervisory credentials in both disciplines.

Since joining Chenal Family Therapy in 2018, Dr. Fuqua has led the development of a clinician-friendly compliance program designed to reduce occupational trauma and foster a culture of support and transparency. In addition to overseeing CFT’s compliance program, he played a key role in expanding Medicaid services and now guides practice leaders in navigating evolving regulatory landscapes.

For the past several years, Dr. Fuqua has been coaching practices across the country on mental healthcare compliance, ethics, and documentation, leading monthly discussions, webinars, and trainings. As a CARF surveyor, he also provides guidance for organizations pursuing accreditation.

Dr. Fuqua serves on multiple insurance advisory committees in Arkansas, offering insights into policy, ethics, and compliance standards. He also teaches graduate-level courses in Ethics and other subjects, further shaping the next generation of mental health professionals.

Outside of his professional work, Dr. Fuqua enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, running, traveling, and geeking out on compliance topics in his free time.

As a part of this fractional compliance program, you will complete a Business Associates Agreement (BAA) to be able to maintain HIPAA compliance and share records as needed for your practice.
